Sam
Sotha, author of In the Shade of A Quiet Killing Place,
gave a talk at Siam Society on Saturday, 14 July
2007, at 10:30am.

lecture was organized by the Siam Society in coordination
with Heaven Lake Press and took place on 14 July 2007.

Excellency Mr. Sam Sotha delivering a lecture to the audience

Mr.
Sam Sotha recounting the experience that he and his wife
went through, from the forced relocation from Phnom Penh
in 1975 and their time under captivity by the Khmer Rouge
during the following 4 years. Mr. Sotha also talked about
his role in advocating for Khmer refugees while in refugee
camps in Thailand and in the US, as well as his work in
demining in Cambodia and around the world
